Description

When a published application is started from a Web Interface site, the error message “An error occurred while trying to access the requested resource” is displayed.

Virtual Application Screen

When a published application is started from a Services or PNA site through the desktop Receiver, the error message “An error occurred on the Citrix servers while attempting to complete the request” is displayed.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, either run a repair on the Web Interface/Services site, or create a new site.

Problem Cause

The Load Balancing Policy is not specified in the farm when the application is started from Citrix Quick Launch (CTX122536 -Citrix Quick Launch). The Web Interface or PNA service might be corrupted.

Note: If load balancing the Web Interfaces, the issue can occur on one of the Web Interface servers. Isolate each Web Interface server or site and test.

This article provides a resolution for the error that is occuring when a published application is stared from Web Interface site or Services/PNA site.
