Without this feature, the input experience with a client IME software would be negative (e.g., incorrect UI position, lack of support for segmented words, failing to add or remove characters in a composition) in a Citrix Workspace App session. 

Alternatively, customers can use the default IME (Input Method Editor) software installed on VDA server, which may not be the best choice of input for East-Asian users like Chinese, Japanese and Korean. 

The Generic Client IME feature is designed to mitigate all these gaps, offering the best input experience for Citrix customers.
