Error in configuring  App Protection  using the following guide: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/tech-zone/learn/poc-guides/app-protection-policies.html.

 

When running the below commandlet to enable app protection:

• Set-BrokerDesktopGroup -Name <DeliveryGroup Name> Application_protection -<App Protection Feature> $true

Error is displayed saying the 'required feature is disabled by the system configuration'

 

A separate license file is required for App Protection . This needs to be downloaded from the licensing portal and installed on the license server .

Once this is done correctly App Protection will be listed as a separate component on the license server .




Note - When  uploading the license file to the license server ensure that the Start date of the App Protection increment is valid . In below example the .lic file shows a start date of 2024 which was  not yet valid.
If this is the case download a .lic file with a valid start date .
