Description
Wfica32.exe crashes when attempting to launch Citrix ICA session from client side.
From the client's Windows application logs, the following errors are noticed.
ć»Application Error with Event ID 1000 which indicates the faulting application name is WFICA32.EXE.
ć»Application Error with Event ID 1 which indicates the DrvDeviceCapabilities error within Printer.
Resolution
- If "Client printer redirection" feature is not necessary then disable this policy.
- If this feature is necessary, reinstall the issued printers to determine whether this resolved the issue.
Problem Cause
By default, "Client printer redirection" policy is enabled.
So when launching Citrix ICA session, wfica32.exe will check the capabilities of all printers in client side.
If any printer capability issues happen, wfica32.exe may crash.
