Description

When trying to connect - it opens up another window (Authentication window for Cloud) but there are no fields to type in - Get-XD-Authentication Failed

Resolution

  1. Local host cache should be enabled by default. Refer to the following:
  • https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/2203-ltsr/manage-deployment/local-host-cache.html#default-settings-after-product-installation-and-upgrade
  1. To verify if the Local Host Cache is enabled or not:
  • On the cloud connecter server go to this location C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService and see if all these three files are present
  • HaDatabaseName.mdf
  • HaDatabaseName_log.ldf
  • NTUSER.DAT
  1. Verify if these three files are present on all the cloud connectors. If not, manually configure the Local Host Cache.

This article helps to cross-verify if Local Host Cache is working or not by creating an artificial outage.

Problem Cause

These three files are present:

  • HaDatabaseName.mdf
  • HaDatabaseName_log.ldf
  • NTUSER.DAT
