VDA's created with MCS cannot take snapshot in VMware

Description
In a new Citrix DaaS deployment using MCS to deploy VDAs from a master image but unable to backup application of the new VDAs due to an error creating a snapshot.
When attempting to manually snapshot a VDA from VMware the following message is received: "Cannot take a memory snapshot, since the virtual machine is configured with independent disks".
Resolution
Cannot take a snapshot of the Independent disk mode because they are the VDA which is provisioned by MCS under a Dependent disk mode. It can only take a snapshot of the Dependent disk only which is the master image. This is expected behaviour.
