We have reissued the base installation ISO for Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 and refreshed its content to enable customers to install Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 on certain Intel® Xeon® 84xx/64xx/54xx/44xx/34xx (Sapphire Rapids) systems. For more information, see the Hardware Compatibility List .

This updated ISO also includes content from the hotfixes released before May 31, 2023 (listed in this article).

New customers or existing customers who are installing on new servers on any hardware can use this ISO as a more convenient route to a Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 installation that contains all of the security and functional fixes released before May 31, 2023 - without having to install all the included hotfixes individually.

All hotfixes released after Jun 1, 2023 must be installed on your servers in the usual way.

Who Should Install Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 CU1 Using The Updated Base Installation ISO?

Use the updated ISO if:

  • You are installing on a server with Sapphire Rapids hardware that has 4 or more sockets.
  • You are installing on an HPE ProLiant Gen11 server with Sapphire Rapids hardware.
  • You are installing for the first time on a server on any hardware and want to install all hotfixes released before May 31, 2023.

 

If you do not want to install all of the available hotfixes on your server, you can use the February 2022 refresh of the base installation ISO and then apply only the hotfixes that you want. The February 2022 version of the base installation ISO is still available on the download pages in the Prior Versions section.

 

This updated ISO is not supported for use in the following cases:

  • You are attempting to update an existing installation of Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 or 8.2 CU1. This reissued ISO is not an update ISO. You cannot use this refreshed ISO to update existing servers that already have Citrix Hypervisor installed.
  • You want to run Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 in Common Criteria mode. To run in this mode, install your servers by using the February 2022 refresh of the base installation ISO, which is still available on the download pages in the Prior Versions section. Apply hotfixes as directed by the Common Criteria documentation.
  • You do not want to install all of the available hotfixes on your server.

Note: Customers with successfully installed Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 environments are not affected and do not need to take any action with regards to this ISO.
