Description
Simple Windows UI application to test and troubleshoot Webcam redirection on Terminal Server and Workstation VDAs, as well as to check webcam capabilities on local Windows machines. It covers DirectShow and Windows Media Foundation code paths fully from webcam detection to final video rendering. Application source is open, so it can be used as an example, and/or could be modified, complying with any new requirements.
Using the Interface
- Select video rendering engine, then webcam from list.
- Resolution and Color space/Compression window will show the list of all supported combinations of CS/Resolution/FPS for the selected camera.
- Select resolution from this list and click the Preview button.
- If such resolution is accepted by the video processing graph (or topology in Media Foundation case), it will be rendered into the separate video window.
- Video Window opens with selected resolution, and it is not resizable.
- Log output could be copied to and saved with some external text editor, if necessary.
