Target devices show a boot time message "Attempting to set IP address on Boot NIC.......complete after 51s."
This message was not observed in earlier versions of PVS target device software like PVS 1912.

Resolution
This PVS target device boot time message is expected and by design.
- The time displayed by this message represents the time for Windows to bring up the boot NIC.
- Earlier versions of PVS target device software would only show a blank screen during this time.
- If no message is displayed at times, this phase has completed quicker than 1 second.
- Variation in time displayed can be attributed to differences in windows, configurations, drivers, installed software, and underlying virtual and physical hardware and associated utilization.
- Once a target successfully boots, PVS software is working as expected.
Problem Cause
PVS target device software was updated to show an additional message during boot time. This PVS target device boot time message is expected and by design.
