Description
Requirement to setup a new Citrix site from a new delivery controller and to a new database.
The default port of the database needs to be changed to another port other than the default port 1433.
When trying to create and configure database from studio, there is an error message : database could not be contact - default port is 1433
Although it is possible to change the port when the database is already created, the requirement that is needed is to be able to set the port during the setup of a new site/database.
Resolution
To achieve this, you can use servername,14433 or whatever port you require.
You will need to enter this where you enter the server name in Studio / Site Manager.
You can put the server \ instance name and the server port.
