Description
Under some circumstances, when installing or updating VDA to CVAD 2209 or hire the value of PowerShell Execution Policy changes to "Unrestricted". To confirm this, run the following command in PowerShell on VDA with elevated privileges: "Get-ExecutionPolicy"
Resolution
After update/installation is completed, follow the steps to verify the current value of PowerShell Execution Policy:
- On VDA in question open PowerShell with elevated privileges
- Execute "Get-ExecutionPolicy" command and observe the output
- If previous command returns "Unrestricted" and it's not a desirable value then either:
Citrix is aware of this issue and fix is currently being implemented in the next Current Release build. [HDX-46989]
Problem Cause
Under some circumstances, Citrix Backup and Restore component which is now a part of CVAD installation media may set ExecutionPolicy to "Unrestricted" value in order to create a restore point but then would not change it back to the original value. The following entries could be observed in "XenDesktop Installation.log":
