1. when the prompt Open Citrix Workspace Launcher is displayed in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Chromium each time a user launches a StoreFront resource, configure the following settings:
User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Google \ Google Chrome
Policy setting: Allow access to a list of URLs -> enable Policy
value: receiver://*
User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Microsoft Edge
Policy setting: Define a list of allowed URLs -> enable
Policy value: receiver://*
The required ADMX files can be downloaded here:
Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/187202?hl=en Microsoft
Edge: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/configure-microsoft-edge
2. But the above setting can work for clients that are joined domain, if the clients are not in domain, chrome/edge will always pop up citrix workspace launcher. In this situation, we need to configure the browser to take http access as secure: For Chrome, type chrome://flags in address bar, then turn to "Insecure origins treated as secure", enabled it and add storefront address to it; same configuration for edge, type "edge://flags". Then when citrix workspace launcher pops up, select always allow http://xx.xx.xx.xx to open links of this type in the associated appp.
