Getting error code 1 while upgrading ADC
Upgrade through CLI if GUI fails during Citrix ADC upgrade from 13.0 to 13.1 got failed with below error. "there was a problem with your upload. Failed with error code:1, please try again"

Resolution

  1. Download ADC upgrade image on the local machine 
  2. Transfer file on the ADC manually, using softwares like WinSCP
  3. The file to be uploaded on /var/nsinstall directory.
  4. Login to ADC over CLI:-
  5. Under shell prompt, go to cd /var/nsinstall
  6. Run " tar -xvzf  <filename>"
  7. Run ./installns
  8. This will upgrade your ADC .
  9. You can monitor the ADc coming back up post reboot on 
  • CMD > ping -t <NSIP>
