Description

Address STIG V-218773 compatibility with Citrix Storefront vis a vis of the virtual memory an application pool uses.

Instructions

When IIS App pools are recycled per STIG V-218773, Storefront sessions are disrupted and users are required to sign in again. This does not impact active applications or desktop sessions, only the Storefront webpage where applications are enumerated.

STIG V-218773 recommends to explicitly set the virtual memory under recycling in IIS > App Pools > Advandced > Recycling > Virtual Memory.

When the configured memory is reached it will recycle the app pool and users may be prompted to log in again to the Storefront webpage. This is expected behavior.

In order to avoid this user disruption, App Pool recycling should be avoided during production hours.
