Description

In the process of using a PVS Wizard, after entering your credentials to connect to Citrix Cloud, you might see this error:
"Cannot connect to the Citrix Virtual Desktops Controller at <CloudConnector>: Citrix Virtual Desktops FullAdmin or MachineAdmin permission required."

Following the below steps

  1. If Remote PowerShell SDK is already installed, try uninstalling and re-installing the most current release.
    1. You must first uninstall the existing Remote PowerShell SDK from Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features.
    2. Download the most current version of Remote PowerShell DSK on Citrix Downloads for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Service
    3. Install the SDK using the command line: CitrixPoshSdk.exe PVS=YES
  2. After you are sure that the latest Remote PowerShell SDK is installed correctly on the PVS server, you can inspect your account privilege with the PowerShell script attached to this article.  To use the script:
    1. Open an elevated PowerShell ISE window on the PVS server.
    2. Open "Test-PVS-Cloud-Admin.ps1" as if you are going to edit it.
    3. Run the full script.
    4. A login prompt for Citrix Cloud will appear.
      1. You must enter the credentials [to be] used when connecting PVS to the Cloud tenant.
    5. Confirm that a "True" value exists for each of the necessary permissions:
      1. Catalog_AddMachines
      2. Catalog_Read
      3. Hosts_Read

Note:  PVS version 2203 and later automatically installs the correct Remote PowerShell SDK.

Why you may get this error  : Remote PowerShell SDK may be installed incorrectly or might need to be updated,
or
The Cloud admin account does not have the proper privilege.
