Unable to delete expired certificate with no bindings

Description
The following error is returned when trying to delete a certificate that has no bindings when clicking on "show bindings"
"Certificate is referenced by a CRL, OCSP responder, vserver, service, monitor, SSL profile, CA Cert Group, another certificate, or a policy expression using XML_ENCRYPT() or XML_DECRYPT()"
Resolution
unbind the certkey globally first using
unbind vpn global certkeyName
unbind vpn global certkeyName
Problem Cause
Even when the certificate shows no bindings it is still bound globally
