Description
- Users are reporting an error when logging off from their workstations while having active published app sessions
- The users are not closing the published app before logging off the Worksstation.
- Users utilize Windows 10 machines with Imprivata to badge-in/badge-out Agent 6.3.
- When they badge in, Imprivata logs them into the workstation and their main published app is launched
- Everything works fine, but when the user logs off from Windows in the workstation while the published app is still running, they get an error message - “CGPPowerNotifWndCls: wfica23.exe – Application error”
- Also, if a user leaves a session running and locks the workstation screen, and another user badges in the same machine, Imprivata will log off the current user and log in the new one, but when doing that, the second user gets the same error
- The issue is random affecting from 10 to 50 users per day
Resolution
• The customer opened a ticket with Imprivata support, and they confirmed issues with Imprivata Agent 6.3.
• They tested some clients with Imprivata Agent 7.4 and the issue didn’t occur
• Upgrading the workstations to Imprivata Agent 7.4 solves the issue
Problem Cause
• After collecting a dump file from one workstation while reproducing the issue using ‘Windows Error Reporting’ as default debugger (see: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX118614), the analysis found a ‘crash stack’ belonging to ‘Imprivata’s SSOVcd module’, see:
