IMPORTANT :
Note that redirection of Smart Cards or Smart Card readers over the Generic USB Redirection method is not supported for Server VDA . However, in Desktop VDA this may work by disabling Smart Card hook and allowing Smart Card through USB policy.   1. Configure USB redirection -> Citrix Studio > Policies:
    • Client USB device redirection: Allowed 
  1. Enable Client USB device redirection rules policy
SB Class Code 08 (Mass storage) and 0b (Smart card) (see CTX137939)
  1. Check the DeviceRules key on the client endpoint device 
HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\GenericUSB 
change the DENY to ALLOW class=b0 #Smartcard
  1. Review the device on the client computer.  Record the class, subclass, VID and PID settings.
  2. Open device manager and find the target USB device. (see CTX234916)
  3. Disable SmartCard Hooks from the Citrix session as per article CTX231743.
