Resolution
- Download and installed Citrix Remote PowerShell SDK
Note: It recommend not to install Remote PowerShell SDK with any other Citrix Components.
- Open Powershell and add Citrix snap-ins by executing following command
Add-PSSnapin Citrix*
- Authenticate to Citrix Cloud.
Note: If you have multiple customers associated to your account you will get a drop down to select the correct one that you are targeting
Get-XDAuthentication
- List the Hosting Connections and find the one with the issue.
ls XDHyp:\Connections\
- Validate SSL Thumbprint of the Hosting connection, if it does not match the new Certificate SSL Thumbprint the Hosting connecting is not validating the correct certificate.
- Take note of the FullPath and HypervisorAddress as you will need them for changing the SSL Thumbprint.
- Note down the new Certificate Thumbprint from you new certificate found in the Details tab of your certificate.
- Correct the SSL Thumbprint with the following command.
Note: The Thumbprint should be in capital.
Set-Item -LiteralPath "<FullPath_to_Connection>" -Username $cred.username -Securepassword $cred.password -SslThumbprint "<New ThumbPrint>" -hypervisorAddress <vCenter URL>
Example:
Set-Item -LiteralPath "XDHyp:\Connections\vCenter" -SslThumbprint "ABC1234567890DEFGH0987654321ABCDEFGH12" -hypervisorAddress
https://vcenter.domain.com/sdk
- Confirm the new SSL Thumbprint is set correctly.
ls XDHyp:\Connections\
- On Cloud connector install the vCenter server certificate under Trusted people and restart the Remote HCL Service
- Test the hosting connect and it should now be passing all the test and working.
Problem Cause
SSL Thumbprint for Hosting connection and the new Certificate does not match.
