Description
Administrator adds KEYWORDS "Mandatory" to Applications or Desktops in the Delivery Group and when users log in to Storefront via Browser or Native Store, resource is not displayed.
Resolution
Steps to resolve:
- To make an individual app mandatory, so that it cannot be removed from Citrix Receiver for Windows, append the string KEYWORDS:Mandatory to the application description. There is no Remove option for users to unsubscribe to mandatory apps.
- Example: The image below shows the app “Snipping Tool” with Keywords “Mandatory” which allows the App to be presented automatically to the user once logged in to Storefront
- Image2: Shows the App added automatically and it cannot be removed. “Storefront 1912 used in this example
- When configuring Desktop Keyword Filtering the KEYWORDS "Mandatory" needs to be added in another location for such filter to work
- Example: In this example we have added the KEYWORDS: Mandatory to the Desktop VDA shown in the Image. Please pay close attention where the keyword needs to be added for users to see the desktop once logged on to Storefront via Store or Browser.
Problem Cause
In most circumstances the KEYWORD implementation was not performed correctly inside the Delivery Group.
