Description
With Citrix VPN connected, the underlying ethernet or WIFI connection will flap up and down. Connectivity to both VPN and external networks are unstable.
Environment
Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
Resolution
Set the fBlockNonDomain computer policy or registry entry to 0.
Computer Policy or Group Policy(gpedit.msc):
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Windows Connection Manager.
Set "Prohibit connection to non-domain networks when connected to domain authenticated network" to Disabled.
Registry Option:
Open regedit via Windows Start Menu. Navigate to HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WcmSvc\GroupPolicy (this may need to be created if it doesn't exist).
Here you will create a DWORD value fBlockNonDomain and set the value to 0.
Restart Windows after making the change.
Problem Cause
After Windows 10 1803, Microsoft by default will not allow the simultaneous connections to a domain and non-domain. If this happens, the connections will flap up and down.
