This document will provide a step-by-step guide on obtaining a Citrix NetScaler VPX license (formerly ADC VPX).

Requirements

Contact must be listed on company account with Unrestricted access.

Instructions

Allocate/download Citrix NetScaler licenses

• Login to MyAccount (www.citrix.com/account ).

• Locate Manage licenses and Select the licenses you want to allocate. 

• From the Select an action menu, choose Allocate licenses.

• Enter the MAC address of the NetScaler VPX.

• Follow the process to allocate and download the license file.

Note: Citrix ADC VPX appliances require the license to be allocated to the MAC address(Case sensitive) of the appliance.

To Install a license file by using the GUI

1. In a web browser, type the IP address of the Netscaler VPX and login to GUI

2. On the Configuration tab, navigate to System > Licenses > Manage licenses

3. Click Add New License, then click Browse and add the downloaded license file and then click Open.

4. Select Save configuration and select warm reboot, click OK (Refer the below screenshot)

If the features are still not enabled after installing the licenses, follow the below instructions.

1. Login to the NetScaler VPX / Gateway using Winscp

2. Go to root > var > log > license.log

3. Check for any errors.

4. Verify the date, time, time zone on the Netscaler VPX/Gateway by running the command “date” on CLI, Update the date if necessary refer article CTX205005
