Description
Microsoft Word fails to launch as a published app.
Error: "Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable".
But Microsoft Word launches properly within a published Desktop session.
Resolution
- Add the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word to Folders to synchronize in the Citrix UPM policies under "Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Citrix > Profile Management > File System > Synchronization"
- Run gpupdate /force on the VDA
Problem Cause
"INetCacheContent.Word" folder was not being created when Microsoft Word was launched in the user profile under "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word".This is a Microsoft issue and is not caused by Citrix. Refer to
