Description

  • RDP connection to Windows 2012 R2 Server fails via RDP Proxy with SSO enabled.
  • RDP connection can be establish on Windows 2012 R2 servers using NS RDP Proxy if Single-Sign-On is not used.

Resolution

Change the Group Policy "Require use of specific security layer for remote (RDP) connections" to use "Negotiate" security layer  and then Single Sign On (SSO) via RDP Proxy will work as expected.

Problem Cause

Security Group Policy for RDP was set to use "SSL" Security Layer" and hence a higher security than NS RDP Proxy with SSO can handle.
