Description
Error "Citrix HDX engine is not Responding" when launching an application on windows embedded device with receiver 4.8/4.10
Environment
Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
Resolution
Disable Hardware Acceleration for graphics on the client machine using Citrix Receiver Group Policy Object administrative template :
- Open the Citrix Receiver Group Policy Object administrative template by running gpedit.msc.
- Under the Computer Configuration node, go to Administrative Templates > Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace > User Experience.
- Select Hardware Acceleration for graphics.
- Select Disabled and click Apply and OK.
Same can be set using following registry on the Windows endpoint.
Registry Path : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Citrix\ICA Client\Graphics Engine
Name: HWacceleration
Type: REG_DWORD
Data: 0
Note* if this registry key does not exist already, create it
