When you launch a published Applications/Desktops using Receiver for HTML5, the RDS license is consumed more than once
Citrix is currently researching in this area to improve the unique client identification.
Workaround : To ensure Installed RDS Per Device CAL is issued, you have to set the "keep cookie" setting in the browser and do not clear the cache frequently
When a session is started from Receiver for HTML5, a unique Client ID is generated for each browser or User Session. This client ID is retained until the local browser cache is cleared.
The generated Client ID will be in the form of "HTML-xxxx-xxxx", and it is displayed first, in the Temporary RDS Per Device CALs list.
When the second session is started with the same client ID, then it will be displayed in the Installed RDS Per Device CALs list, instead of the Temporary RDS Per Device CAL list.
Because Client ID "HTML-xxxx-xxxx" is random, you will have two or more Temporary RDS Per Device CAL issued to the same client.
The Temporary RDS Per Device CAL does not affect the number of Installed RDS Per Devices CALs used. The number of Installed RDS Per Device CALs will be affected only if a Installed RDS Per Device CAL is issued.
Note : If an user access the Application or Desktop using both HTML5 Receiver and Native Receiver from the same Client machine, multiple RDS Per Devices CALs will be used i.e. one RDS Per Device CAL is issued to HTML5 client and one for physical client machine.
