When installing XenServer, you need locally attached storage (PATA, SATA, SCSI) with 46GB (16GB if legacy) of disk space minimum, 70GB of disk space recommended (60GB if legacy), or SAN via HBA (not through software).

If installing with multipath boot from SAN, see the HCL  for a detailed list of compatible storage solutions.

Installing XenServer on SD/USB cards is not supported.
