This article includes recommended configuration for specific issues that may be encountered in your Epic Hyperspace via CVAD deployment. These configurations should only be used if you encounter the specific issue mentioned. Before determining whether or not you will use any of these configurations, please review the “Known Limitations With the Use of the Listed Seamless Flag” section of this document.

Configuration Instructions

The following registry settings can be used to temporarily address the specific issue mentioned if you are experiencing that issue in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops versions prior to 2402 LTSR. If you are experiencing a similar issue with versions 2402 or later, please open a Citrix case to receive support in resolving the issue.

To configure the recommended settings, modify the registry on the Virtual Delivery Agent server where the application is installed.

Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402 LTSR & Virtual Apps and Desktops 2507 LTSR
 

No seamless flags are required for this deployment.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, ensure that you have removed all Seamless Flag configuration before upgrading to 2402 LTSR or newer versions.

Known Limitations With the Use of the Listed Seamless Flags

 

SeamlessFlags X00000800 Seamless windows will not move while the user is dragging the windows space until the mouse is released. Users may see a moving window edge frame inside the app window.
SeamlessFlags X00008000 Issues may be experienced when restoring minimized windows. The restored window may not show up in the user's desktop. Also, the Minimize All feature of Windows OS may not work with certain seamless windows.

X00000400		 Resizing and/or dragging windows will be handled by the server which will increase server resource utilization.

Citrix recommends and supports the above seamless flags for customers using Epic Hyperspace and experiencing any of the issues described in the above article. Please engage Citrix Support to provide additional data which will be used in search of a long term solution.

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
