Description
How to enable Syslog/Sys logging for XenMobile.
Note-
Syslog is a standard logging protocol with two components: an auditing module (which runs on the appliance) and a server, which can run on a remote system. The Syslog protocol uses UDP or data transfer.
Admin events and User events are recorded.
Instructions
To configure a syslog server in XenMobile follow the below steps:
- In the XenMobile web console, click Configure > Settings > More > Syslog. The Syslog configuration page appears.
- In Name, enter either an IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of your syslog server.
- In Port, enter the port number. By default, the port is set to 514.
- In Information to log, select or clear System Logs and Audit.
- System logs represent actions taken by XenMobile.
- Audit logs represent a chronological record of system activities for XenMobile.
- Click Save.
