When you try to log on to Citrix Director, you may get an error message "Make sure that you have the required permissions" as shown in the screenshot below -



Additionally, the following event is recorded in the Windows Application Log -

Log Name:   Application
Source:        Citrix Director Service
Event ID:      7
Level:           Warning
Description: Your logon attempt was unsuccessful.

Username: 'admin2'
Domain: 'contoso'

Additional information:
'The user does not have permission to access any sites.'

To resolve this issue, grant the user correct Role to access the Director. To do this - launch Citrix Studio, navigate to Configuration -> Administrators, to add and configure the user with appropriate role.
