Description
This article contains the minimum set of hotfixes to install to get your Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 installation up to date. If you use the Automated Updates feature of XenCenter, this is the set of hotfixes that are installed.
Download the minimum set of hotfixes from the product downloads page.
Note: Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 reaches end-of-life in June 2025. Upgrade to XenServer 8.4 before this time.
If you install Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 by using an installation ISO released after Jun 1, 2023, some of the hotfixes on this list are included in your installation. For more information, see Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 Cumulative Update 1 - Base Installation ISO - updated June 2023. You can install any hotfixes not included in this ISO in any of the the usual ways.
Before installing any hotfixes, ensure that you are using the latest version of XenCenter. For more information, see the Citrix Hypervisor product downloads page. Public Availability: fixes to Dom0 kernel
This hotfix resolves the following issues:
- Sometimes, when a host crashes, the host fails to create a crash dump and gets stuck in a non-operational state until it is rebooted.
- In a pool with a GFS2 SR, sometimes a failure in the distributed lock manager can cause a host to fail and require a reboot.
- On the Lenovo SR635V3 AMD platform, memory temperatures cannot be read by the platform causing the server fan to run at maximum speed regardless of system load.

Public Availability: fixes to Toolstack
This hotfix resolves the following issues:
- In pools with a large number of hosts, changing the pool master can fail and leave the proposed new master in a broken state. After this failure, XenCenter cannot connect to either the old or the new pool master. To recover any pools that had previously experienced this issue run the commands on the original pool master: "xe pool-emergency-transition-to-master" and "xe pool-recover-slaves".
