Description
If you encounter a "trust relationship error to the domain" on DDC or need to re-join the DDC for any reason you may follow the steps provided below:
Instructions
Please take a full backup of the Site, Monitoring and Logging database before executing any of the below steps.
- You may use the Netdom.exe tool provided by Microsoft to reset the computer account password (Article is provided in the reference section).
-Have a domain administration run this tool on the DDC, by logging on to the DDC using a local admin account.
If the above steps do not yield positive results and still if you are unable to login to the DDC using domain credentials, you may follow the below steps:(The below steps should be used as a last resort and only if you have more than one DDC in the site).
- Remove the DDC from the XenApp and XenDesktop site first by using the steps given
here.
- Once the controller is out of the site, you may remove the Controller from the domain.
- Once the controller is out of the domain, we recommend to change the host name before joining back to the domain. The reason for changing host name is, the Database still might hold some references to the old host name and might have issues joining it back to the site.
- After the DDC is joined to the domain, you may now join it back to the site by opening Studio.
