Description

Error observed: "The storage container cannot be accessed. Please check that the ELM is in the container's 'white list'. "

When deploying App Layering to Nutanix AHV: You are able to "check credentials" on the left half of the connector screen successfully, and it enumerate templates and storage containers on the right half. However, when clicking "Test" the above error is displayed.

Resolution



1. ​Ensure that you do NOT include the port number in the "Web Console Address" field.

If you accidentally included the port, you will be able to "check credentials" to connect to Nutanix, advance to the right half of the connector, and enumerate the "Virtual Machine Template" and "Storage Container" fields.. However, if you list the port number in the "Web Console Address Field" you will receive the error "The storage container cannot be accessed. Problem Cause

On the connector screen, the customer had been including the port number (9440) in his web console address, which was creating an error when mounting the NFS share.

Issue/Introduction

When trying to create a Nutanix connector, this error appears: The storage container cannot be accessed. Please check that the ELM is in the container's 'white list'.
