This article describes how to enable Proxy Auto Configuration for Outbound Proxy support on NetScaler Gateway.
When you configure the NetScaler Gateway appliance to support Proxy Auto Configuration (PAC), a PAC file URL is pushed to the client browser. A PAC file defines how the web browsers and other user agents can automatically choose the desired proxy server. The traffic initiated from browser is then redirected to the respective proxies based on the conditions defined within the PAC file.
1. From the NetScaler GUI, navigate to Configuration > NetScaler Gateway > Global Settings.
2. On the Global Settings page, click Change Global Settings, and then select Client Experience tab.
3. On the Client Experience tab, select Advanced Settings, and then select Proxy tab.
5. In the URL To Auto Proxy Config File field, type the URL for the required PAC file.
6. Click OK.
1. From the the NetScaler GUI, navigate to Configuration > NetScaler Gateway > Policies > Session.
2. To create a NetScaler Gateway session profile, select Session Profiles tab, click Add (+ icon), and provide a name.
3. On the Client Experience tab, select Advanced Settings and then select Proxy tab.
4. On the Proxy tab, check Override Global, select Browser, and then select Use Automatic Configuration.
5. In the URL To Auto Proxy Config File field, type the URL for the required PAC file.
6. Click Create.
7. On the Create NetScaler Gateway Session Policy page, in the Expression dialog box type ns_true.
8. Click Create.
