Who is affected?
Citrix Service Provider partners (CSPs) using XenApp and XenDesktop and the LUI service that have active XenApp and XenDesktop license allocations that have not been deployed or were previously deployed and since decommissioned.

What is the issue?
License servers that have been retired and are no longer operational in the partner’s environment are showing in the partner’s LUI interface as non-reporting servers.  This creates ‘noise’ for CSP partners who aim to ensure that each of their license servers are reported (as required by CSP program and licensing guidelines).  The LUI service sources the list of license servers for a CSP partner using a database of licenses that have been allocated in the Citrix back office.  LUI service then presents these license servers on the Server Status tab and shows which ones are actively calling home and which are not.

What do customers need to do?
Partners need to return unused license allocations.

When do customers need to take one of the following actions?
Customers need to perform the following actions prior to or after retiring a Citrix License server from their environment.

How do customers get more information or help on this issue?

5.
Enter the required quantity and click Continue.  To remove the license server from your list, you will need to remove all licenses from each allocation.  It’s possible there are multiple allocations to a single license server or HostID, each will need to be removed in order for the server to disappear from your LUI view.
Note: Some licenses do not allow partial allocation. In such scenarios, the Quantity/Available field cannot be edited.
