This document outlines how to change Desktop Icon for All Delivery Groups in XD 7.X using storefront 2.X or 3.X.

Changes

If you are publishing both XenApp desktops and XenDesktop desktops you may want to change the default Xendesktop Icon to Custom Icon. 

XenDesktop desktop has the default icon as below. (Current Setup used SF 3.0 and XD 7.9)

Now We can change this to the below shown icon:

Instructions

Please follow the following Steps to change the Icon to all Desktop Delivery Groups by a simple change in Storefront.

1. Go to your Storefront and navigate to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\store1\App_Data
   Note: Store1 is the store name in this case and Do not Go to Store1web

2. Rename the Desktop.ico file to Desktop.ico_old

3. Copy the custom icon and change the name to Desktop.ico

4. Restart IIS (Command line "iisreset" )

5. Repeat Step 1 to 4 if you have multisite storefront servers

6. Access the storefront URL and check the Desktop ICON.

 That’s it! Now all of your “Desktops” look the same.
