We can delete the snapshot of the Master Image once a catalog, created using machine creation services, has been updated, as the snapshots are not linked with the updated image. Also deleting the snapshots won't affect the ability to update machine catalog in future. However it is recommended to keep the snapshot of the latest working state. This would help in case of any breakdown in future.
