Description

Windows 10 VDA gives black screen for 10-12 seconds after login into it.

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Resolution

Workaround 1:

Enable the policy "User Account Control: Use Admin Approval Mode for the built-in Administrator account"

Workaround 2:

The issue may be related to Active Setup.
At logon time Microsoft compares two registry keys and anything missing from the HKCU hive will then be setup at login. This delays login times.

Update your Mandatory profile so that [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSetup\InstalledComponents]  matches [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ActiveSetup\InstalledComponents]
