With FTA enabled in Studio, after logging into Receiver, the application will open using the local defaults, not the published application

Resolution

  1. Within Studio go to the application properties and ensure the correct FTA is set.
  2. Make sure that client drive redirection is enabled and working. The server will need to be able to resolve "\\client\c:\(program path).
  3. Make sure the user has appropriate rights on the end point.

Problem Cause

The client workstation was locked down and was not allowing FTA to be enabled. logging into the client device as an admin allowed the association to work and double clicking a file with the correct extension launched the published application.

Client drive mapping was not enabled. The published application would open however you would see an error saying "could not access file \\client\c:\~~~" meaning client driver redirection was not enabled.
