Published applications launch without issue but may have a black border at the top, bottom, side, or completely surrounding the application. The issue happens when the application is run seamlessly or in a fixed window. The issue is seen outside of Citrix. The user is usually using Multiple Monitors.

NOTE: Single monitors may not exhibit this issue. Some may it depends on the video card\driver being used and the monitor resolution settings.

Resolution

Adjust the Video scaling options on your Video card\driver. (this is to be done on the machine using multiple monitors , which is usually the client machine)
Sometimes just setting both monitors to the same resolution resolves the issue (or using just 1 monitor instead of 2).
Sometimes this is caused by the application being run in a resolution or color depth it does not support so lowering the resolution or color depth may also solve the issue.
if neither of these things resolve the issue then it is a video scaling issue and you need to adjust its options.
 
If using an Nvidia graphics card:
  1. Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel
  2. Then Adjust desktop size and position set it to Use NVIDIA scaling
 
 
If using an AMD graphics card:
  1. Open Catalyst Control Center
  2. Go to My Digital Flat-Panels
  3. Choose Scaling Options
  4. Slide the slider all the way to the right (so that it is a 0%)
 
If using an Intel Graphics card or embedded chip:
  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Under Appearance and Personalization select Adjust Screen Resolution
  3. From there select Advanced settings
  4. Then select the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel Tab
  5. On that tab you should see the Scaling option set it to Scale Full Screen.
 
 
NOTE: these are some of the most common video cards\drivers used other Video cards\drivers may have the same option you just need to investigate the card\video driver being used and Look for an option similar to 'scale video to full panel size'.

Problem Cause

The Video Driver Scaling mode in combination with Multiple Monitor resolution settings.
