The default Citrix Universal Printer Driver used when printing with XenApp is an EMF version of  the Print Driver. Since EMF is the most commonly and widely used printing format that is the default. The newest format for printing is Microsoft's XPS printing format (XML Paper Specification). So some of the newer printers are designed to use the XPS standard some printers will have a sticker or logo stating it is XPS enabled or certified.

Change the XenApp Policy - Universal Driver Preference and move XPS to the top of the list.

To change the default Citrix Universal Printer Driver

To force XenApp to use the Citrix XPS Universal Printer driver before the EMF-based Citrix Universal Printer driver, configure the Citrix policy setting Universal Driver Preference and move XPS to the top of the list. This is a user policy so it can be configured on a per user basis.
