Description
The objective here is to show the configuration required to send email notifications from the SVM itself for the VPX instances hosted on SDX when there is any event change on the VPX.
Instructions
First we have to configure Email notifications on SVM as mentioned in below article:
http://docs.citrix.com/en-us/sdx/11/manage-monitor-appliance-network-configuration/configuring-mail-notifications.htmlBy configuring SNMP on SVM and Email notifications, this will generate Emails for the system level events on the SDX box but not for the VPX hosted on that SDX.
To get the Email notification for the VPX instances hosted on the SDX please do the following configuration as well:
On SDX go under Configuration > Netscaler > Events > Event Rules as shown below:

Click on Add to create a Event Rule for the VPX's hosted on the SDX and also to select for what events the email will be sent:
You can select the Severity, VPX's for which you want email notifications, Category is for which event you want to send email notification (high cpu, vserver flap etc). Once you create the Event Rule, you will get the option to select the Email distribution list as shown below:

Once it is done, Event rules will be set to enabled as shown below:
