Configure Smart Access filters for load balancing policies in XenApp 6.5.


Instructions

On Storefront

Manage Netscaler gateway -> ensure that the call back URL is set correctly

 

On XenApp

Set policy "Trust XML request" to enabled

Gpupdate /force on all XML / ZDC servers

 

Launch an ICA session

On the XenApp server hosting the session open the registry

HKLM\Software\Policies\Citrix\Session id\Evidence

This should contain the  AGFarm and AGTags

 

*Note If you do not see the values populated review the Storefront and XenApp policies settings above

 

Open AppCenter -> Load Balancing Polices -> Create new Load Balancing Policy -> Filters -> Access Control

Tick the boxes for "Filter based on Access Control" , Apply to connections made through Access Gateway and "Any connection that meets the any of the following filters"

Click Add

Enter the AGFarm value for Access Gateway farm

Enter one of the AGTags value for Access Gateway Filter

 

*Note the Filters AND with each other so if you filter on Access Control and Users the connection must match both filters

 

Enter the desired Worker Group Preference.

Note: We cannot use the wild card (*) in the Access Gateway Filter.
