Resolution

To ensure successful redirection of these devices, create a REG_DWORD value-key “EnableForceRestartForHID” under “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Citrix\ICA Client\GenericUSB” sub-key in the registry on the client machine and set its value to 1

Problem Cause

Sometimes USB redirection of some types of USB device may fail because of various reasons like illegal request to device or outstanding open handles present, where the managed software for the USB device does not release it on the endpoint.
