Description

When SNMP-v3 trap receiver is configured, authentication and privacy passwords assigned to SNMP-v3 management applications are system-generated and contain special characters like: .,#,@,$,%, (, ), “,” and so on. However these system-generated passwords are not accepted on the CloudBridge password policy, an error message is displayed that the password is not accepted.

Resolution

Configure a password of 1 to 31 characters, including letters, numbers, and the hyphen (-), period (.) pound (#), space ( ), at (@), equals (=), colon (:), and underscore (_) characters. Do not use “!” and other special characters that are not specified in the documentation.


Problem Cause

The authentication and privacy password for snmp trap destinations can consist of 1 to 31 characters, including letters, numbers, and the hyphen (-), period (.) pound (#), space ( ), at (@), equals (=), colon (:), and underscore (_) characters.

It does not support “!” and other special characters.
