BSOD with Error: "STOP 0x0000007E and CVhdMp.sys Error: BNIStack failed, network stack could not be initialized"

Description
When attempting to boot Vdisks from Target device a BSOD occurs with the following message:
STOP" 0x0000007E and CVhdMp.sys
Error: BNIStack failed, network stack could not be initialized
Resolution
Install Microsoft KB2550978 - "0x0000007B" Stop error after you replace an identical iSCSI network adapter in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or in Windows 7 SP1 on both Master Images.
Please Note:
Microsoft has announced the end of life for Windows 2008 and 2008 R2 as of January 14, 2020 and it may be necessary to call them directly to obtain the fix outlined in KB2550978
Problem Cause
The problem is a result of Target Device hardware device enumeration.
