Instructions

Complete the following steps to configure the initial setup of Command Center:

  1. Connect through console to Command Center appliance.

  2. Open an SSH connection to the internal IP by typing ssh root@169.254.0.10 on the console prompt.

  3. Type public as password to log on to the appliance.

  4. Run the Command Center appliance configuration script. At the shell prompt, type:
    sh /etc/ccnetworkconfig.sh

  5. Follow the prompts and set the following parameter values to your local settings. The default values are shown within parentheses. Press Enter if you do not want to change the default value.

    • Hostname - Host name of the appliance. Change the default Hostname value (Default : cmdctr).

    • Command Center IP Address - IP address of the appliance (Default: 192.168.100.3).
      Note: After initial configuration, you can access the appliance by typing this IP address in a web browser and specifying the port as 8443. For example: https://10.102.31.69:8443/

    • XenServer IP Address - IP address of the XenServer (Default : 192.168.100.2).

    • Enter Appliance Password - Type public as the appliance password.

    • Subnet Mask - Mask identifying the appliance's subnet (Default: 255.255.255.0).
    • Gateway - IP address of the router that forwards traffic out of the appliance's subnet (Default: 192.168.100.1).

    • DNS Server IP Address - IP address of the DNS server.

    • NTP Server IP Address - IP address of the NTP server.

    • Current Time zone Settings - Displays the time on the appliance. Provide the appropriate time zone.

  6. Reboot the appliance.

  7. Refer to Citrix eDocs  - Command Center Appliance Licenses for licensing the Command Center. Obtain three licenses for three MAC addresses allocated to same license and apply to Command Center.

  8. Reboot the appliance and perform the initial network configuration.
