This article provides information on how to install XenMobile Server (XMS) 10 to be configured on a SQL Instance with the custom port.

Prerequisites

• Knowledge of SQL service account credentials with the appropriate role.
• Knowledge of SQL Server FQDN or IP.
• Knowledge of custom port for the SQL instance if it is allowed.

Instructions

Configuration

Complete the following steps to configure the SQL instance:

1. Follow XenMobile Server First Time Setup and configure the network settings for the XenMobile Server.

2. In the Database connection screen, type the following:
   • Local or remote: r
   • Type: mi
   • Use SSL: <y/n>
   • Server: <IP or FQDN (see below screenshots)>
   • Port: <SQL Port> -> Default is 1433
   • Username: <domain\Service Account>
   • Password: <Service Account Password>
   • Database: <DB Name>
   • Commit Changes: y

3. Confirm the connection is successful. The database will initialize during a new setup.
