Description

When access SSL VPN using Java vpn client through NetScaler Gateway, the following warning message might appear and the site will not appear.

  • The configuration was shown to have custom vpn.html, j_services.html & vpn.jar files
  • Starting with Java 8 Update 20, the Medium security level has been removed from the Java Control Panel. Only High and Very High levels are available.
The exception site list provides users with the option of allowing the same applets that would have been allowed by selecting the Medium option but on a site-by-site basis therefore minimizing the risk of using more permissive settings. Resolution

As a workaround, restore default GUI theme and see the correct certificate and add site to Java client exception list.

Note: Citrix is working on meeting the new Java security requirements.
