StoreFront is an integral component of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenApp and XenDesktop) but can be used with several versions of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and XenApp and XenDesktop.

For customers that remain current in a Citrix Technical Support program, support for StoreFront will be provided for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in accordance with the Lifecycle Milestone Definitions, the dates that are defined in the Product Matrix Table, and the documented system requirements for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, XenApp and XenDesktop, and StoreFront. 

All currently supported versions of StoreFront are supported with all currently supported versions of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including Current Release (CR) and Long Term Service Release (LTSR) versions. For example, using an older version of StoreFront such as 3.12 LTSR CU4 along with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1903 is fully supported, and vice versa.</sup>

Note: Citrix does not recommend mixing non-compliant components with an LTSR environment. However, the decision to add a non-compliant component to an LTSR environment should be based on the customer’s risk tolerance. The intention of LTSR is to provide a customer with the best possible long-term stability via minimum environment changes. Deviation from the identified LTSR components introduces risk into the environment, although Citrix does make every effort to release products with the highest level of quality. In terms of the support experience, the mixed LTSR and non-compliant components environment will be supported based on the terms of the support contract and the individual component’s LTSR status.
 
To ensure best performance and security, Citrix recommends installing the latest StoreFront updates within a few months of their availability.}

Q: How will fixes or updates be provided for StoreFront?
A: For Current Releases, critical defect fixes will be supplied in a future Current Release of StoreFront.  For LTSR, critical fixes will be supplied in a future Cumulative Update to StoreFront. 

Q: How do I find the Storefront version?
A: On the StoreFront Admin console, go to Help >About Citrix StoreFront to check the StoreFront version.

Q: What are the supported upgrade steps if I want to upgrade from an old LTSR version of the End of Life Cycle (EOL) to the latest LTSR version on the same server?
A: See the StoreFront documentation for supported upgrade paths. If you wish to upgrade from a version from which direct upgrades are not supported, you must first upgrade to an intermediate version before upgrading to the latest version.
